Our Friday night Shabbat Service was a bit different than we had anticipated.  We were scheduled to have a band-led service, but unfortunately two band members were not available, so we ended up with a more traditional service.

The ceremony took place during a Shabbat Morning Service. It was pretty exciting because I was on the bimah with the rabbi a lot to help to lead the service, and I also chanted from the Torah and taught everyone about my Torah portion. I was  nervous, but it was great to have all of my family and friends there to support me.

The reception was so much fun.  We had a great  buffet lunch and a fantastic dance band, Busta-Groove, who was selected by Diablo Magazine as the East Bay's best party band for the past 3 years.   I heard that everyone had a great time and I did too!

My Nana hosted a last-minute "Mexican Fiesta" at our house on Saturday night for out-of-town guests, and also for friends and family who wanted to hang out longer after the party.  The food was great, and my friend Jeff told me that it was the best home-cooked Mexican food he ever had!

As a special thank you to everyone who came in from out of town, my Grandma and Papa (Barbara and David Wolf) hosted an out-of-towners brunch on Sunday morning at Father Nature's Shed in Danville.  The food and service were great and everyone had a wonderful time catching up before heading home.
